Notifications

Control which alerts Hidma sends - both the organisation-wide rules you set for your team and the personal preferences each user controls for themselves.

Overview

Hidma notifications work at two levels:

• Notifications you send (organisation-wide) - rules administrators configure for the whole team, such as budget thresholds and Xero sync alerts.
• Your Notification Settings (per user) - personal opt-outs each user controls from their own profile.

A user only receives an alert if it is enabled at the organisation level and they haven't opted out of it personally (or muted the relevant project).

Notifications You Send (Organisation-Wide)

Administrators configure these under Settings ➔ Notifications you send. Notifications are grouped by area, including:

• Projects - budget-progress notifications. Set company-wide thresholds, recipients, and channels, with optional per-project overrides and muting. See Budget Notifications for the full walkthrough.
• Bills - alerts such as recurring-bill instances being generated.
• Xero - integration and sync events. See Integrations.

For each notification you can typically choose who is notified (all users, only those tagged on the relevant record, or a selected group of users/teams) and how (Email and/or an in-app Alert in Hidma).

Your Notification Settings (Per User)

Your personal user profile includes a dedicated Notification Settings section. This puts you in control of the system alerts you personally receive, so you can keep your focus where it matters.

From here you can opt out of specific system alerts across:

• All projects (for example, budget notifications)
• Bills
• Recurring charges
• Timesheets

Opting out only affects your own notifications - it doesn't change what anyone else receives or what the organisation sends. To stop notifications for a single project rather than a whole category, use the Mute Notifications button on that project's dashboard.
