Project Pre-Approval

Require a designated approver to sign off on new projects before they go live. This is useful when partners or managers want to check the scope, client and billing set-up of every new engagement before time is booked against it.

How It Works

Once the pre-approval workflow is switched on:

1. Someone who is not an approver creates a project.
2. hidma emails the approvers to let them know a new project is waiting for sign-off.
3. An approver opens the email and either approves the project or sends it back for review, straight from the email.

Projects created by an approver go live straight away, without needing approval.

Turning On Pre-Approval

1. Go to Settings → Configuration → Project Settings.
2. Switch on the Pre-Approval workflow.
3. Select one or more approvers.
4. Save.

Choosing approvers

You can pick more than one approver, so a project is not held up when one of them is away. Any of the selected approvers can act on the email.
